The Washington Nationals have placed starting LF Elijah Dukes on the 15-day disabled list with a meniscus tear and a partial tear of the patella tendon. Dukes will miss the next 4-6 weeks because of this injury. Dukes has played in 52 games for the Nationals this season and he is 46 for 175 (.263 avg, .801 OPS) with 26 runs scored, 6 homers, 20 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Dukes will be replaced in LF with the under performing Wily Mo Pena. Pena has played in 60 games for the Nationals this season and he is 38 for 178 (.213 avg, .535 OPS) with 10 runs scored, 2 homers and 10 RBIs. The Nationals hope that Pena can play like he did last season for them.

Hi– I’m a grad student at U of Maryland and my market research class is doing a project on Nations fan conversion and season ticket options. Would you mind checking out our survey? It would be a big help- we’re hoping to have all of the inputs by Wednesday night.

    Thanks!
